Taking place in the Grenoble from February 25th to March 1st 2019, the LEPMI lab. is co-organizer of the ENGINE winter school dedicated to energy conversion & storage devices. The school is open to graduate students (Master 2 and PhD students), postdoctoral fellows, researchers, technicians and engineers from the academic and industry worlds, interested to acquire deeper theoretical and practical knowledge on materials science and electrochemistry for energy applications.
For its first edition, the ENGINE winter school will focus on the understanding and electrochemical characterizations of a few selected key enabling technologies and related devices, namely:
• LMPB: Lithium metal polymer batteries
• PEMFC: Proton exchange membrane fuel cells
• SOFC/SOEC: Solid oxide fuel cells / Solid oxide electrolyzer cells
• SuperCap: Supercapacitors
The Winter school will held lectures, seminars, practicals / exhibitions, posters sessions and a tour of the European synchrotron X-ray Facility (ESRF).
