Saïd OBBADE is professor at the Grenoble Institute of Engineering and Management (Grenoble INP) from 2009 and he is graduated in material sciences and physic from Grenoble Alpes University. From 1992 to 2009 he worked at the material science department of Lille University as an assistant professor until 2004 and then as a professor thereafter. During this period the main topic of his research was centred on the synthesis and characterization of new materials resulting from the association of uranyl ion, transition metal oxyanions alkaline and alkaline earth metals; very promising subject at the interface of several disciplines; as the solid state chemistry, nuclear chemistry and environmental chemistry. He was member of National University Council, (CNU) of 33rd section, from 2002 to 2005 and Chemistry UFR council of Lille University of 1999 to 2006.
Since 2009, Saïd Obbade worked in the Laboratory of Electrochemistry and Physical-Chemistry of Materials and Interfaces (LEPMI) of Grenoble INP, his scientific activity is dedicated to the elaboration and characterization of new electrode materials of Li/Na/Mg-ion batteries, using X-ray and neutron diffraction combined to transmission and Scanning electron microscopy, to evidence the effects of the crystal structure, microstructure and morphology of compounds on their physical properties.
Prof. Saïd Obbade has authored and co-authored over 80 papers in international journals, over 90 posters and oral communications in national and international conferences and he has supervised 12 PhD theses in crystallochemistry and crystal growth area. He is also often invited as a reviewer by the editors of numerous prestigious scientific journals, as an expert in inorganic material elaboration, crystal structure characterisation using powder and single crystal X-ray and neutron diffraction, transmission and Scanning electron microscopy and in crystallochemistry area.
He was also Director of the Industrial Service of Phelma Engineer School, of Grenoble INP, from 2010 to 2018, where the main mission of his service is to establish links and strong and lasting partnerships with the industrial community and national and international research organizations, to enable our engineering students to have ongoing contact with industry and research.
